May 2007 Newsletter April 2007 Newsletter G’day everyone. I hope you all had a safe and happy Easter, got lots of chocolates and watched lots of Johnathon’s movies. Or at least lots of replays of the shower scenes that we have all come to love so much … If you are wondering why you haven’t seen or heard much of Johnathon this past month, it’s because he has been busy, busy, busy….. filming Prom Night for starters… Prom Night This big budget movie is currently being shot in LA. It’s being directed by Nelson McCormick and was written by JS Cardone (The Forsaken & 8MM2). It is due for release in February 2008. Straight after filming wraps on Prom Night (around the end of May), Johnathon will start filming The Poker Club. The Poker Club This film is based on a novel by Ed Gorman and Johnathon will play one of the lead characters. Johnathon and his business partner Richard Chizmar not only wrote the script but are producers on the film as well. Their production company is Chesapeake Films Little Chenier WOW…………. This industry and fan favourite is currently taking the film festivals by storm…!!! 2007 Park City Film Music Festival WIN - Best Narrative Feature - Gold Medal Audience Award 2007 Phoenix Film Festival WIN - Best Ensemble Acting Award WIN - Special Jury Prize ”Acting Achievement - Fred Koehler WIN - BEST PICTURE award Future Festivals for Little Chenier in 2007: Big Island Film Festival in Hawaii, May 17-20 2007 Swansea Bay International Film Festival in Wales - May29-June10 2007 (Best American Feature Film Category). Sea of Dreams Pepe Bojorquez and everyone at Success Films are working very very very hard to get this wonderful movie released into US theatres. There will hopefully be some good news soon. Pepe also sent me another gorgeous photo of Johnathon, Angelica Maria, her daughter and himself, which I have posted on the Sea of Dreams page. I am SOOOOOOOOOO spoilt……. And LOVING it…!!!....:) That Thing You Do The Director’s Cut DVD is due for release 8th May 2007. This film has a huge cult following and if you look up “The Wonders” on YouTube, you will find many tributes to this great flick and the songs within. Some of them are quite funny… General Stuff Don’t forget that the IMDB is an industry indicator/swayer, so please take the time to vote for Johnathon and his films.
