The Making of Sea of Dreams

Starring:
Johnathon Schaech as Marcelo

Marcelo arrives to the fishing village to learn more about his dead father. He falls in love with Grecia awakening the passions that lead him to risk his life.

Sendi Bar as Grecia
Grecia is a woman of unequaled beauty and magnetism. As a little girl, she discovers a magical connection with the sea. When she becomes a teenager a tragic event reveals her relationship with the sea that scares the village and those she loves. Grecia struggles to find her own, unique destiny.

Angelica Maria as Rina (Grecia's Grandmother)
Rina gives hope and support to her granddaughter. A simple woman, with no resentment or questions, she longs that peace and calm will return to their village.

Sonia Braga as Nurka (Grecia's Godmother)
Nurka is the mother of two sons in love with Grecia. A bearer of the wisdom of the earth, she is loved and respected by the people of the fishing village and announces that Grecia has a special bond to the sea.

Nicholas Gonzalez as Sebastian
Sebastian is a noble young man,  protected by his mother and defies his promise not to love Grecia.

Seymor Cassel as Tomaso
Tomaso is the lighthouse keeper who jealously guards the history of the sea and fears the sea's obsession for Grecia

 Julio Bekhor as Luis
His friendship with Sebastian makes him defy his own beliefs

We are very happy to announce that
SEA OF DREAMS is part of the exhibition "The Legacy of Mexican Cinema" presented by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences. We are very proud to share with you that our 2006 Silver Goddess Award Winner film "Sea of Dreams" closes the gallery right after Alejandro Gonzalez Irrañitu's "Amorres Perros", Alfonso Cuaron's "Y tu Mama Tambien" and Carlos Carrera's "El Crimen del Padre Amaro".

Sea of Dreams is the closing night film of the San Francisco International Latin Film Festival.  It will be screened at the Gala Night November 19, 2006 at 6.30pm in the beautiful Cinearts Theatre located in the spectacular Santa Ana Row area.  Right after the screening there will be a Gala Night party to honour Sea of Dreams. Special advanced screening in Los Angeles this Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 7 pm at the WADSWORTH THEATRE & GROUNDS followed by a Q&A with Chris Chomyn (director of photography) and Pepe Bojorquez (writer/producer/director).  This screening is part ot the Film Series of the CINEGEAR EXPO 2007
